The Home

"Stunning Views of the grounds and surrounding countryside"

Glottenham Manor was originally a Victorian Manor House, which has been lovingly converted to a Nursing Home, retaining many original period features.  The main house has undergone extensive refurbishment, with all bedrooms tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure warm and comfortable surroundings for our residents and staff.

We provide a friendly atmosphere where all individual rights are considered, and our   residents are treated with respect and dignity.  Friends and relatives have the reassurance that their loved ones are being personally and professionally cared for by friendly staff in homely surroundings.

Our Home consists of 47 rooms, the majority of which are en-suite.  All rooms are accessible to wheelchair users with a shaft lift linking the two floors.  The dining room, ‘quiet’ lounge and the majority of residents rooms have stunning southerly views over rolling countryside.  All rooms are equipped with televisions, including both lounges.  The main lounge having a large flat screen television and stereo system for easy listening if preferred.

We have the Arjo Rhapsody Hydro Bathing System ‘Suite’ so that all of our residents can enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy, which increases circulation, mobility and soothes stress, this is in addition to our purpose built assisted shower rooms, and Parker bathroom.

Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture, pictures and personal possessions to ensure their room is ‘home’. Pets are welcome with prior arrangement as many of our rooms have direct patio door access to the gardens and paved areas which are all wheelchair friendly and extend around the grounds.  Glottenham Manor is an ideal home for pet lovers!  We also have a raised bed area that is wheelchair friendly for those who enjoy the pleasures of gardening outside in the fresh air.
